This past weekend we went to New Jersey to visit Liz Peck (a.k.a. Grammy Peck) Pop-Pop, Nana, Aunt Gwen and the cousins Fiona and Mada. We took Thorin to NYC for his maiden visit. It was a 4 hour visit which at 8 years old –plus some sensory challenges– 3 and a half hours too long. He did take photographs for approximately 15 minutes which is when he was the happiest. If you could only do one thing in Battery Park I would recommend the Sea Glass Carousel. It’s like a spiritual experience or maybe just watching Thorin enjoy it from another seat is.
