“Living is learning and when kids are living fully and energetically and happily they are learning a lot, even if we don’t always know what it is. “
Walking around downtown last week, killing time before theater class started, Thorin noticed a group of young people standing in front of a building. They were a noticeable group — in that each person seemed unique in personal style.

Thorin asked: “What’s that place?”
“It’s an art school.”
“What?”
“Art school. Some people go to art school instead of a regular college.”
“Art school!”
“Your Dan* went to art school.”
“I want art school, too.”
I wished I had told him about art school sooner — it’s always nice to know there are other people like you in the world.
Thorin drawing our family portrait- unfortunately I was not allowed to videotape and only allowed a couple photos:
Ward is the object in the upper right, Thorin is the middle object that looks like a arm and I am the little circular red object.
Maybe there is a school in Thorin’s future.

Thorin would be good in art school. He’s strong-willed, visionary and funny.
Perhaps you will write him a recommendation when the time comes:)
Hell YES!
