I have never linked to another writer’s post before. But, today I am compelled.

I have a dear, dear friend who I have never met or talked to. Her name is Cátia Malaquias. We are both mothers of children who have Down syndrome. We share a fervent belief in inclusion– not just for our children but all children. When the system broke down for my family here — she reached across the globe– and held my virtual hand. She supported our choice to home school without judgement. This week she wrote about inclusive education and it made me cheer, alone in our dining room.
