SIGHT WORDS WITH FUN IMAGINES, GRADES 1 – 3, BOXED SET

These cards are advertised for grades 1 – 3 but that seems IMPOSSIBLE! Balthazar is 2 years old and can read all of them. Boring work makes for a bored boy. UGH.

NO STARS!!!!

These must be for children who have parents who do not care about their intellectual development. The only way I could make this interesting for my 3 year-old triplets was by having Consuela think the words in her head and have them guess.

On a whim I bought this boxed set. They could not keep my 1 year old engaged. She ended up eating two of the cards. About all I can say is they are easily digestible:)

My 2 year-old really got the hang of these—FAST! She ended up creating her own cards during calligraphy class. INSPIRING TOOL!

My mother-in-law (insert-unsmilely-face) bought these even after I had my husband tell her that Plum is an advanced first grader. How insulting–again!

I am seven months pregnant and can already tell Glory will not have the need for such rudimentary activities. She kicks savagely while I read the words aloud messaging what I can only assume is her impatience.

Not surprisingly, I am a fan of The New Yorker’s ‘Shouts & Murmurs’ section. -kwp
